AntiVir is very good. In terms of not slowing down your pc on a day to day basis it is one of the best. Avoid Norton and McAfee as they thread join all over the place causing you no end of problems.

Hi All
My Anti-Virus is due for renewal and at the moment I am with Aviri Antivir Premium but it has let some nastys through in the past and there is no UK support as such,they have an email tech support but there is the time difference that caused me big problems.

It took them over a day to reply so I am looking for one with a UK support,I do not want anything to do with Norton I have Googled for a good reveiw on Anti-virus but there is a lot of conflicting replies from different so called experts.

So I am just hoping one of our members is using a GOODUN!

sit behind a router, then personaly kaspersky, have used avg free inthe past as well.

the router seems to give great protection on its own, but does not stop the damage from clicked suspicious e mails , so hence the kaspersky.

+1 for AVG, used it for years at home and use it on my network at the office without any problems

Likewise. Used it for years on several home machines, work machines & stick on for the friends & family that ask my advice & use me as free tech support!

I really don't like Norton, Mcaffee etc. Always the first thing I remove if preinstalled.

If this was meant for me please remove me permantly from this forum as I am getting fed up with comments not relevant to the posts.

I have been a member since 2006 with no issues but you are loosing a lot of long term members with very helpfull information because of idiots that don't have anything better to do with there time but give snide remarks.

Just check the comments as most were very helpfull with there advise (many thanks to them as they were a great help).

For the rest just get a life the worst one being Baron_Samedi and I should take his advise and remove him as he does not have anything constructive to say.
