Merc lists two approved fuel additives/cleaners:

P/N A 000 989 25 4512 which is BASF Keropur and Chevron Techron.

Different additives but similar result.

All top tier gasolines/petrol have the same additives included in their formulations.

cheers, was more thinking what i could walk into europarts/halfrauds and buy though :)

Just start using super plus unleaded, that does the trick on mine.

Basically I've got to pick the car up from 75 miles away and wanted to give it a "kick" on the journey back so was thinking of reddex or killers in conjunction with super as it will be mot time as soon as I get back

It looks like they carry STP, Wynns, and Redex...all will do the same thing without harm.

Usually you add when your tank is about a quarter full...

Using quality petrol achieves the same effect..;)

If you're looking to use these products regularly, then it's very much cheaper to buy in 5 litre tin. At that price it only adds 1-2p per litre to the overall fuel costs.
