Hi guys, im thinking of fitting some to my subtley modded 190e but cant decide if i want to go for 4300k (pure white) or go a bit more extreme blue/purple just to be original

has anyone got any REAL pictures (not photoshop colour change) of what each the different colours are like? had a look on the net but most of the comparisons are photoshoped

im edging towards just gettnig pure white as i think the blue is a bit extreme for my somewhat of a "sleeper" 190 and the blue might look a bit.. er.. chavy lol, that and the blue impares the night driving.

Thanks
Chris

hi

Havn't got any pictures mate but definitly go for the white.

Did you ever see the wheeler dealers where they put some on a lexus?
They were cool.

The blue ones look cheap and considering the price of these lights I wouldn't want mine to look cheap!

It's also worth bearing in mind that the human eye detects the blue colour badly at night and you may find that they appear dimmer when driving than you may wish.

hi there,

i'm quite a MB newb when it comes to modding

i am so lost cuz I have seen HID kits and the normal xenon bulb for a fiver on ebay. Do I need the HID kit to have xenon lights fitted into my 98 W202 C180? would I be better off getting the philips +80%?

Thanks

Well no bulb will give you a real HID effect and thats for sure, The Osram Night Breakers 90%+ are slightly better than the Philips 80%+, so if its bulbs you want, go for the Osram Night Breakers, they do claim to give a whiter brighter light too. If you want to go for HID kits you may as well however most HID kits available are illegal so be carefull.

thanks for the tip, i have the exact same car as you gurpz mine's a 98

i got 6000k on my w203, its extreeme white with a slight blue tinge at certian angles, like the new range rovers, looks very nice as my car is blue, but dont go over the top and get blue or pruple as that looks awfull and cheap, id say 6500k is the max, as mine make it look expensive and yet distinctive with out the over the top look

ive got the same but havent installed these ones yet. anything lower has too much yellow in it for my liking, i know from previous experience when i fitted some on my old car.
id rather have blue and white rather than yellow and white.
hope that helps!

I run my lights on "constant on" - are these type of bulbs more likely to burn out than normal ones?
