My black CLS has a blue badge, looks a little out of place TBH, thought I might replace it but would prefer OEM

hi there - i started a thread looking for the same for my black on black amg sports plus coupe - it seems they don't - the closest is an OEM from america that has the merc sign on a black background but still has a blue surround - think i may have to resort to customizing my original one by either plastic dip or spraying to achieve the look i want which i guess is the same you are trying to achieve - im still going to keep looking for a while and if do find one will let you know - there are many black amg/brabus/carlson ones but no true black merc ones

yes except for the 'japan quality' of it thats the exact design would have liked or similar - its a shame there not many other options for a black bonnet Mercedes emblems especially with the amount of mods out there.

its a shame as the ones they do for the wheel caps on that site actually have the correct size lettering!

if the quality was better definitely would have gone for that but guess the search continues

If it really is 2.20" that would be 55.88mm so just a little shy of the 57.5mm needed.

Would it be that noticeable? -0.85mm all round?

managed to find the black bonnet badge for my c class!fingers crossed its as good as it looks - let us know how yours is mate

Hi guys don't actually know what kind of blackness you need for your badges but what if you buy the headlights tinting spray and spray on it or a headlights tinting film and tint it???

ebay - seemed to have quite a few pages with the same badge - found a few with the fitment i needed

Mine black bonnet badge arrived yesterday from the US.

Part # A2078170316 which is available from UK dealers at £22 (about what I paid!)

I'd say it's more very deep blue myself but it's defo "blacker" than the one I removed, so I'm happy!
