BlackBerry and comand

Hi all,

I got my new co W212 this week and it's a great car.

I specced comand online and did the research to check compatibility with my BlackBerry 9800.

The phone connects fine, address book, texts, all good. However, when I try to go online with comand it says my phone does not support the feature despite it being compatible on mercedes website.

Do I need to change any settings on my phone to get it working, the manual hasn't helped at all...

Any advice is greatly appreciated.

It's on orange, contract and device tethers no problem with playbook and computer.

Under the Comand Online settings change them to the details below, It may solve the problem:

Orange GPRS settings (WAP):

APN : orangewap
Username: Orange
Password: Multimedia
Gateway (IP) address : 192.168.071.35
Port number: 9201 (or 8080)

I will give that a go and report back.

I have two phones at the moment:

Work: BB 9700 Orange contract. After a while (~2mins) trying to connect it times out "Unable to establish a connection" I just wonder whether that is my work contract and BES etc. preventing it.

The one I want to get working:
Personal phone: BB 9800 Orange contract. Tries to connect online and it says something akin to "Phone not supported"

I'll try your settings with both and report back.

Unfortunately I've tried the instructions on both phones and it is still not working.

What are my next options? Visit mercedes?

Checked on that before even ordering the car!
