..yes I know the head units are decent, but has anyone got any experience of their speakers?

I've got the 2-way speakers in my w124. They seem ok. I have tried comparing them with others of a larger size (Clarion) before fitting and the replacements didn't come close so I left the original (Blaupunkt) in situ. If I replace them I think I would go for Blaupunkt THx102's. I think they more or less fit aswell.....

well compared to makes like Alpine and Pioneer, Blaupunkt is weak i would suggest the Pioneer 3 way speakers for the best sound qaulity
