Bluetooth phone installation

I am trying to install a genuine MB Motorola V3x Bluetooth cradle using a Nokia 6230 Bluetooth phone ( I haven't yet got my V3x yet) so I am trying to pair my Nokia. I get well into the process using the instructions that came with the cradle, including entering the 5 digit code. I am advised it is paired, but nothing appears in the Active unit folder and then a message appears that the bluetooth has disconnected.
Are there any specil tricks or instructions to pair etc or can the Motorola cradle only pair with Motorola phones and not Nokia?
Would appreciate any help on this one. It would of course be easier if I have the V3x phone, but !!!!!

I use a VISEE O blue tooth adaptor instead of a cradle you can pair up to 3 phones at once and any mobile phone will work,google visee o.What happens with yourphone was happening with mine until i got this kit,it fits in seconds and will work in any Merc.
