Boot lid closing

I have noticed since last while the boot lid (driver side) sits slightly up about 5mm and is not flush with the bodywork. It is only on the driver side that this occurs; the passenger side is flush with the bodywork as it should be. The boot lid has the automatic opening and closing feature.

Has anyone come across this before or on what the problem might be? Any help appreciated

Could it be the mechanism is on teeth and it has slipped ahead a couple of notches?

There is normally a means of adjustment on the hinge.

I will have a look tonight to see if the hinges can be adjusted - but from memory they I think they are fixed. I will put pictures up later to show them. I meant to say in the first post that it is on a 2004 CL

I suspect the three lowest nuts in your picture allow for some level of adjustment.
