Bootlid trim

Since I've decided to keep car and do her up bit at a time I was wondering if the CE boot is same size as the E, my trim is missing and I have spotted this

No it isn't - it was never there to start with! The pre-1989 facelift 124s didn't have a trim piece inside the boot lid - which means that even if you did get hold of one from a later saloon, there might not be any holes for it to clip in to. Don't know how easy it would be to make some holes...
