Bose system in a W210 estate

Do any members have experience of the above? If so, how does it compare to a non-Bose setup? Is it much of an improvement?

I believe it's better buying a car without BOSE system, then you can match your own HIFI components.
Comparing stock audio vs BOSE audio, BOSE will sound better as there's more treble n base.

The stock system is actually clear, precise and natural. I have yet ever to encounter a situation to which the answer is Bose is better - the Bose on my C55 was awful, over-boosted, booming and wearing.

if you pay extra for premium sound and it turns out to be the opposite audio is crap, then dealer is a scammer letting customers think they're paying for premium stuff
