Hi

I am looking for a economy upgrade for my e320 cdi sport is the brabus worth the money or is their a recodnised manufacture with a cheaper option ?

Thanks

Ste .

I have just changed my W212 2009 E250cdi Sport to a W211 2007 E320cdi Sport and have had a remap from Simon Coe (CCC Tech) who has done a number of cars for me (E300TD, E320cdi x 2 and a VW Golf TDi). BHP is up to 264 and torque goes up to 590Nm (original numbers are 224 and 510). Never had a problem with any of the re-maps and you can certainly feel the power!

His website is CCC Technology | Performance Tuning | Upsolute.

Hi thanks for that but I do not want the ecu chipped , I would rather go the plug and play route , so I can easly remove it like the brabus one .

Can I ask why you changed back, I have been loaned a 212 and liked it bar the seats which would be the only reason why I probably would not get one.

D6 Brabus chip

My S320 has the Brabus D6 chip and if I drive like a Vicar I can get 42mpg

:o)

It was actually the seats in the main. Had tan colour non-sports seats fitted and found the support in the base/thighs made a long drive quite uninspiring! W211 seats seem to be a lot better. Also the E320cdi to me handles more sharply in the bends and is quicker to steer. Finally, whilst black looks lovely it is so hard to keep clean!!

Hello

My Brabus s320 cdi did 28mpg the other week towing our van. 40 mpg easy on a run solo

I found the sports seats very poor, too little thigh support although you could get the wheel nice and close, but it felt like I was sitting articificially upright and hurt the back to get close to the wheel but the legs far from the pedals.

The C class however 204 you can just get the seat set, and be comfortable.

I am going to start a thread on it as other than that the 212 was ideal for me re changing the seats in the saloon to coupe ones as these are brilliant./

Gordon I remember your car from last year, very very fast. You are soley to blame for my purchase in June last year :D

Me too - amen :thumb:

42 is very poor for driving like a vicar. I've seen 52mpg from standard V6 CDi and 44mpg at a 70mph motorway run. Actually 46.4mpg driving to the lake district from Scotland going speed limit speeds all the way.

here is nun driving

Yes, agreed - my recent post about getting 40mpg was over 200 miles between 60mph and 80mph and using Distronic (which I feel hinders economy).

Is that a Freudian slip? S320 cdi??

S Class 320 - the top selling S derivative.

Not a S211 E Class estate (I suspect).
