Brabus or AMG?

A car that clearly doesn't know what it is.

I'd ditch the AMG badge and leave it Brabus'd, if at all.

Merc star on the front, Merc wheel caps, and a split personality boot lid....

Base models are easy to identify... Wheels/exhuasts and door handles are an instant give away as well as PTSs etc. on the exterior in additon to listening to the sound of the engine.

So what do you exactly gain? Does somebody go "Wow that unbadged car has a 5.0l V8!" as opposed to "Nice S500 over there!" ? Are you hoping they'll think you have an S600 instead? If you like the lines without badges fair enough - personally I think they look wrong without - but to me I'm suspicious of why you'd want to remove them.

Personally, I like the nice clean look with just the star and when cleaning/waxing it is soo much easier and wax/dirt does not get stuck inbetween the badges. My Kompressor was the worse for this. Each to their own I guess...

Why hasn't it?

Agree on the badges - one would do.

I dont know if it has, surely it would have Brabus wheels not AMG  If it did have, why change them? Just seems odd.
Cheers

No - this is an aftermarket conversion - Brabus do a lot of engine conversions that vary from remaps to cam changes to increasing cc and engine replacement etc.

Another example of badge naughtiness.

Like the guy in my street, rebadged his SL300 as SL600, he works for powerflow and its sounds silly, just too loud

Something like an SL55 is never going to be mistaken for anything other than what it is badges or no badges .....

Cerberus in wolfs clothing more like ....

V8 = Two Heads (not three), but I can live with that!!

ok , so i repent for my sins ...

Off with the badges :):bannana:

No comments from anybody !!

If car has been tuned by Brabus (and doesn't just have the engine cover replaced  ) then it does qualify for the badge, however - although it has an AMG front bumper and wheels, the side skirts and rear bumper look to me like the standard items (Avantgarde sills, and AMG rear bumpers have exhaust cut-outs).

What they really need to do is slap a Carlsson badge on one of the wings (along with "V8 Kompressor"), and a Lorinser badge on the other. Then it would really be the biz ;)
