Ok so I am currently Paying £30 month for AOL platinum and £35 a month for my mobile.

I have to Options

1) Move to Orange and save £30 month
2) Keep O2 get Sky and their free broad band offer. and pay approx the same as I am now with the added bonus of sky

This brings me to the question does anyone have experience of sky broadband or is it worth doing this for Sky TV alone.

Thanks

I'd be interested to hear as well, but need to chuck another couple of variables into the pot...

I have just started renting a bachelor pad. I intend to probably stay here until my finances rectify themselves and I will then buy somewhere. It doesn't have a BT line at present, which costs £125 to connect. I only really intend to stay here for 6 months. Would I be best going for NTL, which has no connection fee, or biting the bullet and going for BT, or indeed SKY? So many choices...

Basically I NEED a landline and WANT wireless broadband, but am not too fussed about the TV element.

So Talk Talk from carphone warehouse?

My friend went to talk talk, got the phone line ok, but was then told that he had to wait 4 months for the Broadband due to the amount of customer take up.

Go with UKONLINE for the broadband package.. I am paying £14.99 for 15-22Mb

Sign up www.1899.com for free UK calls, call from a landline or mobile...

Check out some of the offers from 3 or go with Vodafone with the Stop The Clock packages.

I don't work for any of them - and am talking as a customer - thats what I have - works out pretty well.

Also - the SKY package looks good - but - due to their extensive marketing campaign and large customer base - I don't think the service will be upto the expectations initially (overloaded with high contention and slow speeds), give it a year or so to get set up properly.

Additionally, people will be leaving the mainstream to goto SKY - so should see a price drop and competition.... all good for the consumer!

Just my opinions..

You might want to read some other threads before either recommending or indeed using cartoon whorehouse.

Good argument there. Only thing with Orange as well I notice the usage limit is 2GB. Not sure what it is on sky yet. With the mobile package it seems that although you get unlimited free txts you get charged for all pic messages. SO the bills could start creeping up.

Then there is also the issue of what phone to go for and is it available for free on the selected contract.
