Can anyone help.!!

The button lights on my comand unit have stopped working. Everything else works fine, the display even changes from day to night setting when the headlights are activated.

All the other button lights work fine on the cente dash/console.

Is it a fuse or somthing more serious!!!

By the way I have a 2002 ML 270 CDI

Great site!!!!

there is a pin at the back which is for the 'lights 12v' sounds like this has come loose or something. its in PIN 6 of block A the light sense is a different wire from the canbus adaptor so thats why it goes from day/night with the switch.

When you do have a look can you check if there is a fuse or resistor that can be changed to make the buttons brighter. :)

checked the connection in plug 6 block A and it seemed fine. I also checked the fuse but to no avail. could it be something inside????

Comand button light don't work.

just had my comand back from a local repairer, who could find nothing to suggest why the button lights don't work. I even bought a new facia from Steve at MBenzNL.

So I'm at a loose end. Can anyone suggest anything else I or the Local Guy has overlooked??????

Since you said it STOPPED working then it would appear to be something more internal. The fascia probably isnt it.

I suupose it could be the facia but as it was a new replacement from Steve at MBenz.nl I thought it must be something else. Anyhow Steve has asked me to send it back for him to check, if anyone can sort it out he can!
