C Class Comand Screen popup (W204)

OK so had my C350 for a week now and love it to bits. However only annoying thing is the Comand screen popping up and disappearing every-time I turn the car on/off. Is there a way to keep the screen always open?

Why do you want the screen up while the car is off?

I'm doing lots of short trips, so it is a bit annoying popping up and down every-time I start/stop the car. Just wish I could override it and leave it up.

try wedging a door stop in it before you take the key out

Buy a facelift model!

Unusual request - it helps protect the screen when not in use. I am sure there must be a wire or fuse somewhere that can be disconnected.
