I am about to go collect my C63 from Germany and just wondered if any of you knew if the sat nav in a C Class covers Western Europe?

Thanks Palmball. I really cannot wait - going to go so slowly now!!

I know you have had one already so what have you found the sat nav to be like? Can you put full post codes in yet or has that not been changed?

Does it work well?

Sat Nav is OK but even my '09 doesn't have full postcode recognition

I'm hoping the new one does but I'm not holding my breath.

However, the way it works, the graphics etc are all pretty good.

Overall, by the standards of other built-in sat navs I've used, the one in the Merc is pretty decent.

When are you collecting then Ted?

aww i want one now :( but itl cost me €2500 to tax her :( but oh om god itd be sooooo worth it :D theres very few amg's over here. a few m3's and m5's but have seen one amg and that was an s class brabus :D

I am collecting in about 4 weeks. I cannot collect until then as i am so busy with work so i will not be that far in front of you!!!

I am getting super excited though.

I saw on your other post that you are signing the paperwork tomorrow which is great new.

You are so lucky how fast it has all been for you and you already have had one!! :bannana:

Bring on the C63!!

I don't know how you can do it - know the car is ready and then wait even longer :)

The earliest I can get my car...I'm off to get it! I've already agreed with my boss that although I have no holidays left to book until April 1st, I can still go get my car at the earliest opportunity! He's a good bloke :thumb: I need to get it registered in the UK before April 1st or else I'll be stung for that stupid £950 new gas guzzler tax

But I'm almost looking forward to my holiday in two weeks where I'm driving to Germany for a VIP trip of the AMG Factory and then onto Monte Carlo followed by Geneva for the motorshow - it's like a final fling with my current car as it goes onto it's new owner the day after I get back! It's funny; I'll be going back out the Germany to pick up the new car a couple of weeks after I get back! Seriously, I'm not in the slightest bit excited :bannana:

I know that new tax would be a nightmare - an extra £545 and no one mentioned that when i ordered the car (not that i was going to be affected) but i wonder if you ordered a C63 now whether the salesman would tell you about it?! I doubt it.

There are also going to be increases from April for standard road tax which is a joke as it was increased last year! £405 is already rather alot.

Sounds like you have a fantastic trip planned before hand which is love Monte Carlo is so beautiful!!

Yeah i know i am a bit mad but sadly there is nothing i can do so i will just have to be patient. I will be driving myself mad over the next few weeks though!!
