2003 C230K Coupe
Hi All

I currently have a C230K Coupe 2003 model. I am trading this for a C180K Tourer. When i was making a decision i noticed that the C180, C200 and C230 (my model) have 1800 size engines. Are they the same motor with different outputs on the supercharger?

If so, what is the difference exactly? How would one then take the C180 to the power of the C230? Is it simple? Is it purely pully size?

Interested to know. Many thanks and apologies for my ignorance in this.

I'm pretty sure the c230K is not an 1800cc engine. Its the 2.3 four cylinder unit. There are others on this forum who can probably answer the whole question more accurately for you.

Pulley, pistons, software and a few other differences. There is a regular poster called Miro who has worked out the exact differences, maybe he will also reply to this thread :)

The latest engine in the C-Class is a Mitsubishi-sourced 1800cc in various degrees of tune according to whether its labelled as a 180/200/230.
