C200 Air con problem - please help!

I have a constant red light on the air con unit, the one which is normally illuminated when the air con is off (if you get my drift) on my W203 2001 C200 Kompressor .

I am unable to get it to reset, does this mean my air con is u/s? or that I need to get the gas topped up?

Any help would be most kind.

Its the 'rest' button that is constantly illuminated - anyone got any idea's why I cannot get it to switch off?

That's normally an indication that the aircon refrigerant isn't under enough pressure, i.e. leaked away.
