I have a C207 E250 coupe and recently the rear window does not always automatically close fully when the front window is closed. I can close it manually. Those who know the car will know that when a front window is closed on this pillarless model the back window retracts slightly while the front window closes and then returns to a closed position when the front window is fully closed. Has anyone else experienced this? Is this a fault or is there something out of synch that can be reset?

If the windows get out of sync on my A207 this happens. Did it when I changed the battery recently. I opened the windows and closed them 5 times holding the button for a few seconds each way at the end of travel. This reset them.

Do a google search on how to sync your windows. If that doesn't work then try charging your battery then do the sync thing again.
With the battery fully charged, close the doors, open all the windows and press and HOLD the lock button on the key fob. The windows should close fully.
If this doesn't work then it could be the window controller. That's around 500 quid to fix if I remember.

Hi , on my C207 the rear windows have to be raised manually.

I would suspect that it is a security/ safety item
Your missing the point. Totally:-)

Please advise why I am missing the point totally.

We are talking about the 5mm drop as part of the windows opening and closing process, not putting the rear glass up manually.

I had a similar issue with my front window. This helped:

I did front and back windows in pairs. Hopefully that works for you.

Thanks AndrewOl. I opened and then closed the offending rear window and then held the button in the close position for a bit. Than seemed to reset the mechanism and has worked for the past few weeks
