Hi, this problem has started occurring recently.

If i drive from my house and then im stopped at nearby traffic lights for a minute or 2, the engine will start shaking or juddering very badly. Seems to happen only when engine is cold

Normal driving seems ok. I took it to local mechanic, he ran some diagnostic tests with a Snap-On unit and it produced the following Engine faults

Code:
22E0 - No vehicle speed signal Read out fault memory of control unit N47 - 5 (ESP & BAS control unit)

2373 Adjustment of injector injection quantities Range 2

does anyone know what the above codes actually mean? Im worried that one of the injectors is gone

just on the codes, the guy put the engine in as 2009 C Class, model 204.082 as that whats on the VIN plate - the engine comes up as 2.2L CDI 4Matic (651.912) is this correct?

thanks for any advice!

Hi there
I had the same error p2373
the engine light came on and I don't know what to do.booked a MB diagnostics

I have the same fault on my 2007 e220 cdi can anyone give any information on this fault please

Think I would start at the beginning with the likes of fuel filter and have a look and smell about the injector areas for any leakage, hissing, black pools of death stains,,,,

I have no leaks at all and the fuel filter is only 3 months old and a bosch one I have a permanent fault code of p2373 the only noticeable fault with the car is it takes a while to start and then blows a lot of white smoke for a few minutes but only on first start of the day I all so get a ocasional slight missfire on idle

When was ur last oil change and do u have a DPF ? Just because u replaced your fuel filter 3 months ago with a bosch one doesn't mean to say u rule it out. Did you change it personally bud?

Yes I changed it myself and I only use fuel from a busy reputable garage the oil and filter I did about a month ago genuine oil and filter the fault code has got me puzzled I can't find a decent answer if it's the quality adjuster or a injector on its way out but theirs no fuel pressure faults it only started happening on Christmas Day seems to be something temperature related it doesn't like the cold

Have you sorted this issue out yet? It does sound like an injector fault possibly.

A good thing to check as well is the current coding of the injectors in the ECU. Each injectors are stamped with a unique serial number which is required by the ECU to calculate correct injection quantities per injector as they all have slightly different tolerances. It seems this is what this error code is related to.

Sometimes that coding can get lost or it was inputted incorrectly in the past depending what work was done on the car previously. This is quick to check with MB diagnostics not sure with other diagnostics tools but the snap-on one may have the capability to do so.

For the other fault code, you will need to get the ESP/BAS module scanned and see what fault code is stored there as whatever that fault code is, it’s causing this secondary fault to flag up on your CDI control module.

Thanks for your reply but no I haven't sorted mine yet still getting p2373 fault and this morning the management light came on and it went into limp when I scanned it I also got the code P2075 check system high pressure control (max pressure exeeded) the car is running perfect I was thinking maybe the y94 control valve I have already changed the y74 about 6 months ago with a new genuine delphi part the only noticeable problem I have is sometimes it cranks for a while before it starts
