C250 Coupe Tyre Pressure Query

Can it be right that my 18" wheels and tyres require 36-38 psi all round as stipulated inside the fuel filler cap? Seems high.

For info, it is a 61 plate vehicle.

I've forgotten what mine are set at (61 plate saloon) so will check when I drive home this evening. Guess it must be right if it says so on the fuel cover plate, but you never know .... Online owners' manual is rather fuzzy:

Do you have tyre pressure monitoring system fitted? If so then yu can check the actual pressures in real time via the steering wheel controls.
