Mercedes C250CDI Coupe
Hi all,

I'm new to the forum, looking to place an order this week for a C250d coupe. My question relates to service costs.

The dealer has quoted £36/month. I plan to keep the car for 3 years then change.

My question, is £36/month value for money? Would it cost me more than £432/yr to service it (based on 10,000miles per year)?

Apologies in advance if this has been asked before

Cheers

It should cost you nowhere near that to service it outside of the network. But whilst in the warranty period it can be a good idea to stick with the network.

Ring your local dealer and ask the price of the 3 services - it'll need one each year. Also depends on where you live and whether you and your local dealer(s) are up for a bit of negotiation on the price. Some people hit a brick wall, others, even London based members, sometimes get remarkably low service quotes.

At 2yrs it'll need a brake fluid change.

The fairly crucial thing is whether or not it'll need an auto transmission fluid change at 3yrs. MB has chopped and changed the mileage and time period on this. If it needs one then the service deal is there or thereabouts. If it doesn't then it's far too dear.
