Hi people,i've been offered a c250td elegance on an s plate which occasionally stops changing gear.If you turn the ignition off and restart the engine it'll drive fine again.Any ideas will be much appreciated as i know nothing about these cars.
The gearbox on my e320cdi does/did that. Guy at the local garage put it on star today and cleared a few fault codes, one being "excessive revs recorded" and reset the ecu. They checked the fluid level too but that was fine. I haven't had chance to test it yet but might be worth getting someone to read the codes as a first step.
