C250td

Having similar issues with my recently acquired W202 C250TD...

Anyone know of a mobile mechanic willing to travel to the south London area who has experience with these engines?

There is also a current draw that drains the battery overnight on mine - SAM unit related issue stops the central locking/alarm/front windows from working also.

To get it started, need to use a fresh battery and some easy start which I am concerned will cause more issues (am trying to restrict the number of times doing this).

Thought this car would replace my W124 coupe - but never experienced as many issues as I have with this w202!

Good luck with your issue also - seems to be quite a common theme on these cars, which a Google search on the subject shows.

Best,

adil

Could it be air locked somehow?
On mine, at the moment, I have that pipe sucking air in. I know I need this pipe new cos I broke it, but thats not to say there could be a split pipe somewhere on yours?

Is the lift pump giving a good flow and pressure, it's possible for either the valve or piston to stick. Are the pipes on in the correct order.

Has this car ever run in your ownership, if not check the fuel return banjo bolt is the correct size.
If the orifice is too large the pump won't build internal pressure due to returning all the fuel to the tank.

I have owned this car for 13 years and give very little trouble just the usual bits and bobs but never anything like this that is why I would like to see it going again

Hi

Just bumping this thread to the top again.

Car still not going.

Does the ECU need coded to the car if we were to swap an ECU from another c250td??

The other car has a flip out key and this has the electronic key.

Thanks,

No this won't work. You cannot swap the ecu!!!!

Because one is a flip key and one isn't or are they coded to vehicle?

Thanks
