C270 cdi advant SE black smoke

Hi
I done a 200 mile round trip to Leeds from Birmingham .
And the amount of black smoke when I put my foot down
Was embarrassing . There was no loss
Of power no limp mode. I have done the inlet manifold mod.
Now the glow light has come on . So I have a glow plug out
So car is booked in Friday to have all the glow plugs replaced.
But there is also a whistle - siren noise coming from right by turbo
Could this be one of the pipes that go in to turbo or the turbo
It self ? Would the glow plugs cause the black smoke or the
Air - turbo ?

Possibly the Cat is blocked or one of the induction pipes has split.

I would guess you have an air leak on one of the turbo pipes causing the engine to overfuel, look/feel where the whistling noise is coming from exactly and you should hopefully find the leak.

They are big rubber pipes that run from the turbo to the intercooler, intercooler to inlet manifold.

I no those pipes it must be the one
That goes into turbo because that's where
The noise is coming from.

Had this happen to me on another car afew years ago , its a real James Bond smoke trick isnt it?
On a related note does anyone make uprated hoses for Mercedes , mine is a c220 cdi w203?

Hi I had my glow plugs done to day. While it was there
I asked them to check pipes for splits. They couldn't find
any but they did say turbo seal & muffler unit. Off turbo need
Replacing would these parts cause black smoke & whistling noise ?
