Car
C270 CDI Est Avantgarde, Aprilia RSV, BMW Z3(the slow one).
I have a fault with the drivers (right) door electrics.
When I start the car from cold after leaving it overnight,
There is an audible clicking from the window control panel, the lights on this control flash & the windows will not operate from this control for approx 2 minutes, then all works fine.
The locking on this door only sometimes locks & re-opens once ( rare )
The door mirror sometimes adjusts itself to an odd angle
(every other time ) but will adjust back on the dash control.
It only affects the drivers door.
While the drivers door is clicking & flashing ALL other doors operate normally.
There has been one occasion that when starting the hazards came on, all the doors locked and the interior light flashed (3 - 4 flashes) but this was about 2 weeks ago.
I did have a recent fault when the turbo feed pipe to the inlet manifold was damaged when an oil pipe clamp screw above it wore through the pipe, this upset the engine management system. This has been repaired, but the door fault started at the same time, Coincidence???

Is there a master relay in the car that controls this door only ?
Is it likely that a door relay has become a bit lazy, (locks, lights, mirror)Could the battery be giving notice?
The car starts & drives fine.

Sorry for the long explanation, but this is really bugging me now,
Please help.

Its probably the door control module. They have a habit of failing on the early C class.

Thanks Robbo,
So where does this device live, is it a door delving job.

Inside the relevant door behind the door card.
