Same question here. I don't understand the principle behind them and would love to know who has them fitted and what performance gains they have had and at what cost?
I don't see it either. Back in the day I swapped the factory cast exhaust manifold for a tube-type one on an XR2 and the difference was noticeable but the standard Mercedes one looks pretty good to start with. If you could get another 25bhp by using a simple manifold wouldn't Mercedes factory fit them?
