sl55 c43 ffrr
hi guys,after travelling over 600 miles today to look at 2xc36 amg one turned out to be awfull and the other a right off iam asking you guys for help to find one,im after a low mileage nice straight original example of either model in silver or grey with full black leather.I realise im asking alot but i have cash waiting for the right car but iam fussy,please please help.

Mine is currently undergoing a full paint restoration and will be up for sale very soon, to make way for my next project.

It's got full Mercedes history up to me purchasing it, it's had a full engine overhaul, engine service (air, fuel and oil filter, new Shell ultra oil) new Bosch battery, two new wiring looms, new crankshaft position sensor, passed the MOT without any advisories about three week ago, five month tax and there's more that I've probably forgot.

Of any interest?

thx spx,will certainly keep it in mind,but being honest im trying to get an original example thats been cared and looked after from new,i know its going to be very difficult but im prepared to wait for the right car.Good luck with the restoration and i bet when its finished you wont want to sell it anyway.:thumb:

To find the sort of good example you're after, there will only be two types; those that have been restored (like mine) and the very rare one/two owner mint condition ones that will be crazy money.

The biggest thing with these is that they all rust (as I'm sure you know) and mine has undergone a nut and bolt restoration, which will take out 99% of the worry.

Hi again,spx i agree with what your saying and would love to see pictures of yours when finished as it looks like your going to town on it,andy27168 thx for offer but having ocd does not allow me to have black,love it but hell cant keep on top of it,good luck with selling,just to let you guys know i did own a dr520 for a very short while and was offered good money for it so decided to let go have tried other marques but there is nothing like the amg so have purchased a lovely sl55amg with crazy low miles and the f1 package on it and now looking for a nice saloon car to go with it and i will be a very happy bunny.Cant wait till next summer so can start using the 55.Sorry to bore you guys.

You're not boring me, it's good to hear people enthusiastic about their car.

My C36 is silver, so you don't need to be washing it everyday of the week!

Simon the one in the link is not my car, and as I said in the post it is,nt black at all even though it is mentioned in its colour description. I agree having owned a black car myself. Black was the most difficult car I have had to keep clean.
I have had mine for approx. five years and that colour is so so much easier to keep clean than the black IMHO of course.

im in devon,which is normally hundreds of miles from everyone but willing to travel for right car because these cars are not exactly on every garage forecourt.Hopefully a moderator will come along and help us how we can pm.Your more than welcome to email privately but i dont know if im allowed to post up my email address.thx again simon
