I was planning to look at this very c43 prior to purchasing my silver one, looked excellent its was located not far from where I work.

Thought i'd share this here even though I didn't go on the trip in the C43 after all! Fuel cost scared me off abit and found out the car needed some bits sorting on it before tackling any major trips. So ended up in the mighty 190d!

Re the bootlid badges - have you asked at the dealer ?

My SL had been debadged when I got it : the '300SL - 24' badge was £25 , with the hyphen being a separate part and £3 odds , both parts special order from Germany and here in a few days .

I thought the cost very reasonable .
