Ok probably been asked a million times before!
Right have a c36 which i am breaking for the engine. The engine is going in my 300ce coupe along with a 2.6 190 gearbox flywheel etc. Prop off a 190 and a welded diff from the 190. Car is being used for drifting hence the welded diff.
Now the problem i seem to find on all the forums is that the ecu is mapped to run auto i.e it has ignition cuts etc for gearchanges etc. So won't run right with a manual.
My question is how do i get around this? Is there manual coding in there? is it just a case (as it is with many vehicles) of resetting adaptations with the likes of a STAR or is it going to require remapping? Or is it just plain impossible in which case aftermarket management is the answer. I have access to a STAR if required and also some remapping software etc.
Thanks in advance.
