hi i have received my c43 diff i was going to change the oil in her what would be the best to use and the part number please

still looking for gearbox if any one knows of one or another model that would fit and take the power please let me know thx

Hi,
I had my Diff oil replaced in mine and I seem to remember it being a "special" oil, Synthetic maybe? not sure, but if you are in any doubt and due to the low oil capacity of the Diff (1.1 liters IIRC), I would get OEM stuff from the dealers.

Not necessarily. If it's got a limited slip diff most will use a special oil not 80w90.

C43's never had a LSD diff, it was never even an option from new. MB deemed that ESP was sufficient to keep the tail end planted.

i have a mercedes main dealer looking into the diff oil needed

he thinks it mat be a 75 - 90

no i bought the c43 engine all ready im just in need of a gearbox and torque converter and gear box ECU and im done

Hi,
Have you checked the items for sale on the forum I,m sure Moudis was selling a C43 GB and TC a few weeks back though I believe the box needed a new pump or something but other than that it was ok.
If I was on the pc and not my phone I,d look and post a link for you.

ILL HAVE A LOOK MY SELF thx for the heads up

That's the stuff mate, if you want the MB part number let me know. Any EP 75-90 would do the job though :thumb:

pm sent thx

BUMPING this up

Got my diff oil from merc today - £29+ vat though was able to get them to apply a small discount so £59 in for the 2x 1 litre bottles

question is - what is the exact capacity ?

Think you just fill till it starts to flow out of the filler hole . At least I hope so cause that's what I did with mine .

i know its just over 1 litre but surely an exact quantity is neccessary

was it hard to fill ?

Nope made sure I could refill by removing top plug before I drained it. Didn't want to drain it then find the top plug was seized . Once drained replaced lower plug the just stuck the nozzle in the whole and poured it in till it started to run out job done.

anyone know the actual capacity ?
