Hi, Thinking of purchasing an C55 AMG - done a bit of searching on the forum and the only common fault I see is with the oil sweating on top/side of the valve covers. This used to also happen on my CLK and was a relatively straightforward fix.
Is there anything else in particular I should be looking for. Vehicle age will be around 2004 or 2005 and circa 100k miles. From what I ave read also, these AMG engines are virtually bullet-proof if the right maintenance has been followed. How about the other stressed components such as suspension, engine mounts etc... are there any typical failures or anything I should be aware of when inspecting a car? I may not have the time it take it to an indie specialist.
I plan to drive approx 5k a year.
