Dude, you're loaded with AMG's!
Your OCD is on the Rashman level Sam
Cracking job. Your cars are a credit to you.
Is that.......?.............DIRT I spy!!!??? Surely not!!!
I do wish they has lined those V12 BiTurbo letters up with the body line and not the ground....makes me wince whenever I see it!!!
Mr. OCD.
Is this your own place where you work on your cars or do you lend free space from a friend?
Either way, good job!![]()
The S65 does get dirty
Yeah, I've thought of that too, it looks like it wasn't fitted correctly
Not my own place but up until recently I was fortunate to be able to have access to a ramp but not anymore![]()
Mine came from the factory like that too. Unless there is someone going around swapping steering wheels on late model C55's . Mine left Bremen 8th August 2006, the year they stopped building them.Just seeing what else can be done to this car and keeping it oem+, I noticed that some people add the paddles on the steering wheel as normally these model C classes have just two buttons behind the steering wheel or at the front but my car already has them!
Either the previous owner had changed them already or it came from factory like this. I’m happy I don’t have to take the steering wheel off to add them

Yours might have been first registered in 2007 , but was most likely built in 2006 , a decent build card acquired by using the VIN will determine that.I think you’re right. It might be the late models that come like this as mine is June 2007!
Have you seen any other 07 plate C55? Very late model car this one. It would have been strange to see a C55 in a showroom next to a C63.
99% of people wouldn’t have looked at the C55 twice if a C63 was parked next to it![]()
OK , your next job is to find out what emblem is supposed to be on top of the gear selector , the original one is missing on mine , just as it is on yours . There are all sorts of replacements available online , I have yet to know what came from the factory.Today I started cleaning the interior….. well I say today but it was last Friday that I started the cleaning. I spent some time cleaning the seat belts. I tried to use a hard brush but it wasn’t making much of a difference. I pulled the seat belts out, sprayed some chemicals and jet washed them. They look a lot better now.
Today I concentrated on cleaning the dashboard, steering wheel which I have to say, it has come up like new now!
I washed the seats also, the carpets and roof lining.
Cleaned the windows properly and now it’s nearly finished inside also. Still got a few small things to do
I also cleaned the trims by the doors as they were dirty. As you can see, they look like new now

Are you sure the beige ones are not proper OEM ? I looked for replacements only to be told the beige ones are the real deal and no longer available. I have a black 203 set from Lidl in there at the moment , for winter, the beige ones have been cleaned and stored. If anyone has a spare set of floor mats for the C55 AMG, in black, please let me know. I can’t find a set anywhere and the car came with aftermarket ones in beige colour![]()
