I bought a W203 C55 AMG a few weeks back, and am surprised I have never seen another, and don't see any on autotrader. Are they that rare, or is it just the wrong time of the year or something?

Interesting ,I know there ain't many CLK 55 & 63s still on the road also.
Love the rare factor people often stop me and ask what the car is etc always raises an eyebrow.
Do you think this will add value to the cars in later life ?
 
I bought one back in August. At the time there were only a handful for sale and I too notice there are none advertised on Autotrader at least.

I also noticed that SLK55s of same year similar mileage are up to 50% more than what a C55 was in the summer. Maybe the C55 was undervalued as there are plenty of SLK55 for sale ...

Well I have a C55 Estate in Tanzanite Blue and they are rare, except for the other one's that I see on occasions. I often see a beautiful Obsidian Back one that looks entirely unmolested parked up in Lavington Street, SE1.

As an estate, they are really gorgeous sleeper cars.

We have an office on Lavington Street - may look out for it when I'm next over there.
 
I was looking for a black one as my other car is silver but at the time admittedly I didn't wait long I couldn't find the right one.
 
Ive had 2. :rock:

There were about 4 for sale on autotrader about a month back. 1 was my old silver one, there was a gold 1 with low miles that was on there for months and another silver one with SLk55 wheels that looked immaculate, at least on the pics of the underneath of the car.

I must have bought one of those then. Mine is silver but looks gold, and is low mileage (just clocked up 47K). I also think the dealer had had it for a while. It has the clicking stepper motor issue in the dash, but I knew that when I bought it. Hoping I didn't buy a lemon, but all seems ok so far.

2nd one is the best C55 in the UK i'd say..

yeah, they are rare, i've been looking for something to replace my coupe with, was considering a CLC 350, but have to admit the v8 is drawing me :P

missed the one that sold here before christmas, and just saw adverts for the one Belcher bought which looked nice.

EDIT:
what's the "clicking stepper motor issue in the dash" issue ??
