C63 amg 2013, PPP

Hey guys and gals! I have some slight problem, if it is a problem, with my newly bought dream car.
I have posted on different forums but cant figure out whats causing this, so ill cross my fingers and try here

I have been on a google nightmare and cant find any answers on my "problem"
I bought this car about 2 month ago and I starting to notice that the rev needle is jumping up and down while driving. For example;
I drive on a flat highway, set speed limiter at 110km/h (60mp/h) and I notice rev needle keep going 1800>1700>1800>1700 etc. Is this normal? If not, what can cause this problem?
It have recently been through a full service at mercedes, new oil etc.

I have also noticed when ive stoped with car in idle, that sometimes, rarely thought, I feel a quick shake in the car. Like the engine shakes for 0.5 secs. Feels like the car "moves". I thought it was because of that massive engine, but now im not sure. Ive tried calling the car dealer but the seller is very hard to get in touch with. Telling me to call back later etc.

I got summer tires on and its minus outside so can't take it anywhere at the moment, but I have s video of the rev jumping if it will help.

*edit* Ahhh I missed typing in the problem in topic, it should be "c63 amg 2013 PPP, rev needle jumping" if someone can change it?

Do you mean Speed Limiter or Cruise Control?
If I set my limiter at 60mph the speed will vary up to about 63mph. I guess the tacho varies also but I'm not looking at it at low speeds.

I've never used cruise control so can't help there but someone else on here had a similar issue with the revs fluttering

Thanks for the fast answers! I mean cruise control, or the thing that stop it at one speed exacly. But that is just for topics sake, I can also just keep it at one speed with my foot, and the rev needle still flutter. Ill see if I can upload a video

There was this exact issue on here a couple of weeks ago on a new car purchase, or something very similar. Maybe it was spiking revs.

You need to get it on some diagnostics to see if it is the engine/gauge/ECU

Ive booked it in for diagnostics but then the cold and snow hit and my car has summer tires But its getting better now and ill think I can get it there next week.

Ahh this feels like such a kick in the balls... Finally get my dream car and this sh*t hits me. I really hope its the ECU or something. Someone at another forum said "Im assuming this car is tuned?"
I asked why he assumed that but no answer. The dealer said it wasnt. But not sure if thats the truth though...

So in the thread I linked (I've now read it) the fix for their issue is in post#106.

I've asked the OP in that thread if they might be able to explain how the fault was found, because I think (I got confused reading it) that no fault codes were found during diagnositics.

Just want to update the status on my car. Dont know if I should do another thread since it something new, but ill try here.

First of all, just drove it again first time in 1 month, 8 celcius sunny and dry. Was awesome! And very strange but the rev have stoped to flutter now. I have no clue why. Maybe because it was 1-2 celcius when it happend before. But im happy

Not so happy with this though... I know there is a "normal" tick sound from the engine with these cars. My dad had it too before on his 2008. But after I was out driving it hard, nearly a full tank I noticed this from the engine. Its another tick, and it comes from where you fill up oil. Or atleast it sounds the most from that angle.

Please tell me its normal? I was so happy the flutter was gone, and now this.... Here is the sound:

Yea it doesnt sound normal I was so happy the rev flutter was gone and now I got this knocking sound. So tired of this... It was 3 month ago I bought the car so the dealer is legaly responsible for faults that was there before I bought it. Its just a pain in the butt to talk to them, and I think it will be a long legal process. Sigh...
