Hi,

First of all I went and test drove a C63 AMG DR520 at MB world today and all I can say is I really really want one...

after I get rid of my slk that's what I will be getting hopefully, maybe not the dr520 though as they are just collector's item.

The car is not fast it's a bloody rocket, makes anything near it look like a slug in terms of performance, I loved it, I'm very proud to have driven one of them beasts!:D

then I've ruined my whole day and scuffed one of my wheels..

Do any of you guys know anybody who can refurb one of my wheels? it's been scuffed today and I'm not happy, my wheels are perfect, I just lost abit of focus and scuffed one of them :( really sad!:(

If anybody could guide me to a place or somebody who can refurb my wheels at a good/reasonable price then I would be very grateful, thanks.

Regards.

Hi, they seem very good, thanks for the link buddy.

Do they come to your house and do it or do I have to take my wheel to them?

I live in the Surrey/London area so It might be abit of a trip to go all the way to West Bromwich.?

Unlucky Josef, dont worry it happens to everybody once in a while. What style wheels have you got on the car? Your back now aren't you? I was thinking to come down Thursday/Friday!

Josef, I used a company in Birmingham but that was to refurb a full set. It sounds like you just want one wheel done in which case a mobile wheel refurb would be more convenient. How much damage is on the rim? Any chance of a picture?

As an alternative, it may be worth checking out ebay for a single rim. Is this on your SLK?

As for the C63, they're awesome - very tempting :D

I saw my first W212 E63 a couple of months ago that looked great, can't wait to see a 212 E63 Estate, now that would be a nice car.

I think its nice to keep a car like a 320CDI for commuting and for higher mileage journeys and have an AMG for weekend driving etc. I think thats why Josef kept the W211 and didn't sell it.

It's on my 211, just a slight scuff round the edge of the wheel that all:( :|

Yes deffo Naj very tempting, loved the noise of the car, very comfy as well and went like a rocket:eek: 0-62mph in 4.1secs 520bhp ha ha crazy!

do you have a number for a mobile wheel refurb? will take a pic soon and post it on here!

Josef, used C63's are getting cheaper. If you were to sell both your cars I am sure you could get yourself into one.

Steve, I've thought about that so much last night, made sense intill I've thought about the 12mpg round town in the c63 lol.

I guess when you word it like that, just bear in mind 1 set of services, 1 set of tyres, insurance and VED.

You may find the additional costs of running the C63 and its woeful consumption maybe offest as you'll be saving money on the costs of running 2 cars.

I do not know for sure whats cheaper or not and if its not its a question of how badly do you want a C63.

However as Momomo says having 2 cars is very nice and the SLK55 a nice weekend fun car, the E320cdi the one for tackling the grind that is commuting, long distance tours (a favourite pass time of mine lol).

You have a very nice stable of cars there mate, a C63 is very nice, but you are perfectly set up with the current two. :thumb:

I was behind one in traffic (in Ascot area I think) the other day. I meant to post this up then but forgot all about it. It's not a great photo but I can confirm that it looked awesome. I didn't hear whether it bellowed (barked ?:dk:) like the C63 and I would say it looked a little more understated. It was a lovely thing though.

Note to self: Learn how to make pictures smaller.

Benzedup. I have a guy in Deepcut near Camberley who I am going to get a price from for another member. We think he's away till after the weekend, do you want his details? He's doing my Carlsson multipieces.
