C63 AMG Panamericana Grille fitted

I spent a couple of days browsing through the forums, and it became clear that the quality of these items vary alot. I was advised to pay that little bit extra to purchase the ones advertised by "Bentley Grills" they advertise on ebay, i'll post a link below.

Make sure you check that it's the one that fits the "AMG C63", as this is slightly different from the onces they advertise for other C Class models, and check that it's in the material you want, I chose the chrome & black, but they do sell all black and carbon etc.

I used all of the various you tube videos on how to fit them, all helped a little in various areas, give yourself plenty of time to do it, as it takes longer than you think and if you rush it, then things will go wrong. Take the time to protect areas such as the front wings and bumper ends from knocks and scrapes. I used an old blanket to stand the bumper on once removed to save getting any scratches on it from the garage floor.

And you use the "Mercedes Star" from your original grille. I was amazed how easy this bit comes off the grille. A spot of super glue is worth using when you put it on your new grille, or it'll go missing once the local hoodlums see how easy it is to remove.

Good Luck

IGGU - You’ll need to Jack the front of the car up in order to remove the plastic and metal under trays (Two in Total) to get to the lower mounting points on the front bumper. The higher you can lift the front of the car, the easier it is to refit the plastic under tray, as this needs to be slid in at an angle when your refitting it, make sure you leave the multi plug (Drivers Side) and temp sensor (Passenger Side) visible so you can get to them when the bumper is being refitted. Take your time and double check the plastic locating/securing clips are fully locked in, a few of mine hadn’t locked in fully and I had to do some of them a second time.

Yep...... real quality item from “Bentley Grills” and arrives really well packaged.

I really like them and have wanted one for my car for a while. I've just noticed that CKS Performance now stocks them for my SL. Need to investigate how much work is involved to fit it. I've looked and it seems like I'd have to remove the whole front end.

Ordered mine. £199 from Bentley. Five day delivery so hopefully try and get it fitted at weekend or the one after.
My car has the 360 degree camera and this grille caters for that too.
Thanks again Jim.

I’ll be ordering one too but doubt I’ll be fitting it. It’d end up in the bin in bits. 🤪

Thought I would update Jim's thread in case this is useful for anyone else. I ordered my grill from Bentley Grills (chose gloss black) and it came in 3 days - fantastic service from them and it fitted perfectly. I would not recommend paying a garage to fit this - it takes quite a while to do as Jim says, but it is just bolts and clips - not difficult. It took me 4 hours to do from beginning to end and that included brew breaks and a butty break. The fiddliest bit for me were the two bolts which clip the bumper to the wing on each side - you almost need 3 hands for that bit.
I'm really pleased with the look. Here are some before, during and after pics.

Very, very nice! Looks so much better, a simple thing like a grill change,
totally transforms the front of the car. :)👍

ya bugger. It was you that took the last black one??? 😊 Looks great.

I’m waiting for more to come in stock. Not a lover of chrome.

Ah yeah..... When I ordered mine it did say "Last 2 in stock" so it probably was me! Just as a word of warning when you order this from Bentley Grills you will see afterwards that you have actually bought from a seller called Mercedes Grills who only has 7 reviews. I worried at first but it is the same seller. The product came directly from Germany via DHL.
Show us the pics when you get it fitted. Agree with the comment above - a pretty cheap and simple mod that really transforms the front end completely.

Iguana - Looks stunning, especially on your black 63.

👋. Sorry just got to say, really hate the new Panamera grill. Imho It looks cheap and too BMW. Make the cars look taller at the front and narrower. And too many chavs fitting them no non AMGs

Some people just like the look, some want their car to look more like an AMG, and some aspire to own an AMG - or 43/45/63 AMG - but theit time hasn’t come, that doesn’t make them a chav does it?

Just because you wouldn’t go out of your way to make your cars look more like an AMG or a 43/45/63 AMG doesn’t mean it’s wrong for others to.

Conflating the fact people want to pretend (which I have done) and this instantly making you a chav. Two different things.

Everyone is doing it, just a high proportion will be chavs. Hence the association. There are three teens near me with A classes, two have pana grills. Look awful. The other has a full blown older A45. Where do these kids get the cash? 🤔

Funniest post I’ve read in ages coming from a guy that dressed an AMG Line C Class up to the hilt. 😂😂😂
