C63 AMG Saloon on order.

My second post and first experience of MB. I have a saloon that is due to arrive 30/11/10.
I have not gone mad on spec as I plan to hand it back in two years so just went for Command, Blinds,19s and intelligent lights.
I will not be going sideways and really want a bit of comfort that can also do fast so this seems to fit the bill. I had one for a day with PP and that was great but I think the softer ride of the non PP will suit what I want.
My one year old seemed to like the burble too as he soon fell asleep.
I always thought you got hammered by having to spec lots on mercs but my extras only cost 2.1k.

I went for Palladium Silver. My last 4 cars have all been black so thought it was time to change.

Im in the same boat as you in which mine is suppose to be ready for the 30th November also. Im going to do the factory pick up which was recomended to me by the guys on here and fellas at work. Are you doing the same or picking up from your dealer?

The same as you I was looking to buy another car a DB9 and found out that it wasnt in the practicality stakes and the C63 was a very quick choice for me to make as it had all that I was looking for in a car. I haven't even sat in one yet before or after ordering but I think, in fact I know I have made the right choice.

Congrats on yours and hopefully we will both be speaking about our new babys in a few months time!

I ordered last Friday and paid deposit yesterdy when they collected my car.

i know its been a week for me with my deposit but i just have to sit and wait for a build date... or confirmation.... wish mb hurried up

No they paid for my car and I put 1k down. The build slot was already there and agreed with me, they had 2 allocations left, one went and I had the other.

My local dealer never gave me me a build date they didn't seem to know, it was the factory that did they had on the letter that it would be the 30th November as I am picking it up from them. It seemed like the dealer didn't know or really care. So I'm going by what Stuttgart are saying and will probably deal with them directly as Southend don't seem to no or are bothered.

Pagzzy - I think so, I got 7k off list, a gfv of 32k in 2 years and APR of 5.5%. Options wise I have only specced command, blinds, 19s and intelligent lights as I plan to give it back after 2 years.
Palmball - I have come from a generation 2 Carrerra 4s which has been fantastic and without doubt the best car I have owned to date, unfortunatley it was just not getting used as we chuck everything in our X5 at weekends, so the C63 seemed like an oppurtunity for me to have a little fun whilst having a more practical steed.
The deal I got was a little better than I anticipated as I only lost 5k on the 911 in 16 months where as I am budgeting for loosing 20k on the C63 in two yrs which is what the cost will be on the PCP payments (21.6k actually). If its worth more than 32k then its a bonus as I get some cash back.

Thanks, I really dont know much about Mercs and AMG as its all happened quite quickly.
I think part of the 7k is a Merc contribution.
