C63 AMG Secondary Cat Bypass

Hi All,

I am sure this is probably a Repost but I couldn't find anything as I am a bit of a Noob at Forums!

Couple Questions!

I am thinking of buying the Miltek Secondary Cat Bypass off Ebay, Does anyone have this on there car? Does it make much of a difference in how loud it is?

Also if I was to get this Cat Bypass and the Remap from MSL what sort of Power would I be looking at?

Any information would be helpful

I think MSL do a secondary cat delete on site so delete and remap i think would be around 520bhp....But i could be wrong others in the know will be along shortly if all else fails ring Acid @ MSL and ask him!

I would not go the Miltek route with the exhaust, unless its valve controlled.
I had a Miltek on my Audi S5 V8 and although it fullfilled my noise expectations while spirited driving, it soon became annoying to some people under normal driving conditions, simply because of the drone around 2000 - 2500 rpm.
I think i am right in saying a sec cat delete wont give any more power, just noise.
A re-map from MSL should achieve the 520BHP mark with a standard exhaust.
Have a look at a valved exhaust from IPE or maybe Frequency Intellingent, both produce a great sound.

In Harrogate buddy, From your Picture did you get yours from GC motors? My Car is off there tomorrow for a Service!

I supposedly got more power after removing the secondary cats - subject to Dyno conditions of course but I posted the graphs on here way back - about 14 bhp on the same dyno, before and after - 507 to 520bhp.

yep....its been there a while that.

When I went in they had a Lambo Huracan in Green. It was only there a week and a guy part ex`d a McLaren for it !!

Yeah tell me about it haha! Maybe we will get there one day! For now the 63 will do me just need to get Exhaust done and a Remap

I will get one of my mates to fit the Secondary Cat Bypass at his garage, Then take it down to MSL for a Remap

I don`t quite understand why people want to remap a C63. The bloody thing struggles to put down the power anyway.
A lot of it, is so you tell the lads down the pub how many horses you have !
Even though you cant use it in the real world.....




And now..... I will just sit and wait.....

Why not weigh up the pro's and con's get acid to price secondary cat delete and remap in one trip and work out which is cheaper or pushes all the right buttons?

First gear is a complete waste of time. However once it hooks up in 2nd it really does take off and 3rd gear probably now accelerates like 2nd lol.

In the dry the power is very useable......in the wet its completely un-useable.

It does somewhat struggle to put down the power but this is improved with an LSD and better tyres, as you already know.
Yeah, part of it is to tell about the amount of horses...

I am pretty sure you do too when asked what do you drive....
'Oh, i drive a C63 507 edition...' rather than just a short C63 answer?
