Did the W204 C63 come restricted to 155mph from factory?

My C63 hit 165 tonight and felt like it had plent more...

Reason I ask is my cars been mapped by MSL with eurocharged software from prev owner. Was in 2 minds if it felt 500+ bhp fast but if it's hitting 160+ the map should still be in place as well as car being de restricted? I had a feeling MB could have wiped Ecu back to stock at a service!

Would have been restricted as a Non PP car (PP was 186mph restriction)

Eurocharged Re-map does take the limiter off so you must still have the map on.....Result

Factory non PP cars were restricted to 155mph as Lee says, the Eurocharged remap ups that to 200mph according to their website.

I had a feeling my car had been flashed back to standard whilst mine was in for a service too, but after driving it in a little more spirited way, I think it still has the map in place.

When i put mine in for a Service at MB I always say do not Flash any software.....Saying that they normally notice mine is a bit different.

Incorrect information above -

The c63 had a amg drivers package as an factory option which included attendance to a amg driving event and a increase in the limited top speed to 174mph.

All non optioned c63 including PPP and PP models were restricted to155mph with the exception of the c63 507 edition 174mph and the c63 black series 186mph.

I didn't get a handheld with the car so only 2 options to check map are,

Have car tested on rolling road,

Race a stock or mapped C63 (problem with this is all comes down to driver)

What's the usual price of a dyno run, £60?

Or saying that do eurocharged suppliers usually charge to re flash the map on to a car? Could save myself the £60 dyno run and use it in fuel and take a run up to Aberdeen (around 2.5hrs away) and have the map reflashed. Or would it be cheaper and easier to buy a handheld and reflash it myself?

Acid beat me to it. I'd call Matty at Wallace Performance, Paul at Eurocharged or Acid at MSL to discuss it with them, but as Acid says, if it's been mapped by Eurocharged, then a reflash should be free.

On a non perf pack car there is a way around the limiter. The limiter is on 7th Gear. Drive it in manual and you can take it up to 170 ish in 6th.

I have a runway at work I can use. It's only a mile long and at 165 it was still climbing but I gave up as I was running out of stopping distance.

before anything I want to get the remap, but it makes me wonder with people saying if they cant tell if it is on or not, then surely it cant be that noticeable?

It makes a massive difference on a stock 457bhp car
