Thanks, I used a karcher pressure washer with snow foam attachment (forget the brand of foam) then rinsed and washed with Meguiars Hyper-Wash in a grit guard bucket and washing mitt

before the clay bar process I removed as much tar etc as possible with autoglym intensive tar remover

Meguairs Clay Bar kit and some "last touch" detailers spray for lube (I used the lube in the kit on a previous car)

Autoglym Super Resin Polish followed by Clearkote Carnauba Moose Wax

I tried this on the wheels, high temperature wax, FinishKare 1000P Hi-Temp Sealant

for the interior I used Gliptone Liquid Leather Cleaner & Conditioner applied with a brush rather than cloth and Chemical Guys Inner clean for the trim

and for difficult marks and engine bay etc i use autosmart G101 multi purpose cleaner

I'm quite new to this so most of the products I use are middle of the range based on other peoples recommendations/reviews with most coming from cleanyourcar.co.uk they are quite well priced I find and if you google you can normally find a 5-10% discount code.

The leather cleaner and clay was almost a little over the top in hindsight (only 20k miles) as not much dirty came off but there was a fair amount of small marks etc that showed up more with the car being white. Definitely worth doing though but would be expensive to buy all that gear at once!

I think you clearly put a lot of time into it and it shows, great job, and thanks for sharing.

Cheers! I do indeed mate, it can be seen in the second picture, just!

Thing is after it has been clayed there is no roughness and the micro fibre cloth glides over the paint work better than when brand new I clay my car once a year hard work though

Have you tried a clay cloth or mitt to speed things up/make things easier? Appreciate not everybody's cup of tea but I've found a clay cloth to be great.

What is a clay cloth or mitt ??? If better than a clay bar I would give either a go

The Farecla mitt from Halfords is well rated...I've got a cloth from Autosmart...good quality and value.

The big upside is speed and ease of use with these type of products, downside to those not convinced is don't really know if have got rid of contaminants from cloth/mitt after rinsing and next application.

Traditional clay very handy for smaller intricate areas but I'm a big fan of the cloth as I say.

Clay MIT is really quick and easy and very good on glass as well plus it brings UPvc window frames up a treat
