C63 Estate Ordered

I have been a member on the forum for a couple of years, initially as a general interest, but after reading posts on the owners experiences with C63 it was one of the reasons for buying my 1st C63 Estate back in July 2010. I ended up buying an ex.demo estate from MB Cambridge, with 1100 miles on the clock. The car was fantastic, and felt and looked special. I sold the car on a few months later, but since selling it have missed it and when the facelift was released last year, ordered a replacement. Unfortunately, supply issues with the P30 Performace Pack option delayed my July build in to Nov 11. With the new winter tyre rules in Germany, MB required the car to be purchased with an additional set of winter wheels and this together with issues on the P30 option made me delay the purchase.

Good news today - I received confirmation that I now have a confirmed build slot for a new C63 Estate with the P30, with production planned for July. Ordered via broker who secured a great price. On top of the MB Agility allowance, the dealer has contributed just under £3k, bring the total discount to just under £11k.

I have enjoyed reading the posts from those lucky enough to receive the facelifted model, and as I get more details I will provide updates as the wait reduces.

In the meantime I have attached a link to my old car on which shows photos after being detailed with Zymol Vintage which really works well to bring out the depth of the black paint.

I think you will really notice the difference to your old one. The new one is a much nicer place to be in my opinion. Great price!

Thats a great spec you have ordered and the pictures of your last car look great too.

I have done the same thing as you but with a longer time difference, I had a 2008 C63. I can only speak for myself but the change from that car to the new one is quite significant if only for the much much better gearbox and the fact you can now set the changes from c - s - s+ - m

The sound is just as good, I did worry about the bonnet power bulges because I thought the car stood out more from the standard C class but have to say they look great from the drivers seat and gives a sense of power.

Enjoy the wait. Whatever you paid it's worth it.

A little question. With your build slot being in July will you get a 2013 MY? Not sure when they start the production but it must be somewhere around then. Not sure what little changes there will be though.

An update on the order.

Dealer has confirmed that earliest build slot will be July, as there are restrictions on engines in Q2. This means it will be MY2013, but unlike the other C-Class models there do not appear to be any spec changes for the AMG's. Once the updated specs and options are available this will be clearer.

Have agreed to Factory Collect, which I believe has switched to Bremen for C-Class Estates, previously Singlefingen. Picked up an A-Class back in 1999 from Singlefingen so it will be nice to see how things have moved on. Saw in another post that it could be an option to pick up from AMG. Does anyone know if this still possible ?

For info. the broker I dealt with was Best Merc Deals (www.bestmercdeals.co.uk), who were fantastic with the ordering process. Would recommend them if anyones is looking for a new Mercedes.
