Guys

Had my IPE fitted for a couple of months.

I do enjoy the soundtrack and the valves.

However one aspect is that I can't seem to work the auto mode.

The place that fitted it reckon that the auto mode isn't achievable and the fob only has the auto button as it's a generic IPE fob.

I didn't wanna argue but I have read a few instances where people have activated it.

Thoughts? And any instructions as I assume it's throttle activated based upon rpm but h?

Auto mode is rpm related, ie above 3000 i think.

Don't know how to set it up unfortunately. Best contact IPE directly.

Did they wire the control box into the pedal. If they have you need a multi meter to check the voltage outputs. I have a copy of the installation manual as I fitted it myself. If your having trouble I can send this to you.

Think it picks up a 5v signal from throttle.....works on mine so as you said....you were fobbed off

Is it loud or quiet on idle when you press the auto mode? Or does it have no effect whatsoever? I ask because I have the CLS63 version to my E63 (fitted by MSL) and initially the logic was incorrect. In auto mode it would be loud (valve open) when on idle and low throttle, and go quiet (valve closed) when accelerating hard. Eventually they found that there's a small black connector on the unit (about 1mmx3mm) that connects two pins on a PCB board, and when removed switches the logic around so off becomes on and vice versa, and the auto mode works as intended.

You also need the wire to the throttle pedal to be working as Gledsyc mentioned.
