Hi,

I am about to buy a C63.

Now, I am debating about colours.

Calcite White or Obsidian Black.....??

I currently have a black car and keeping it clean is a pain in the **** as I park it on the street. However, when black is clean, there is nothing like it!!
What is black like for picking up swirls?

But then Calcite White does look amazing but I do want a car that doesn't stand out too much...

Any advice?

Of the two I'd personally gofer black - as you say, when clean it looks the dogs!!!

White is the new Black ---- and is gaining in popularity. No guarantee though come resale it will still be. Black never goes out of fashion - nor does Silver.

I personally like the silver grey colour - not sure what it is called.

If you're willing to splash out a bit for a more exclusive coulour how about Designo Mystic Blue? There's a used one up on the MB website at the moment, looks like a demo on a 60 plate, looks very nice. If you don't want to splash out how about Tenorite Grey? I think this colour goes particularly well with the additional features of the PPP i.e. red brake calipers, carbon fibre bootlip, especially if you don't opt for the 19" wheels. The only problem I find with this colour though is what colour interior to match it with - I have been thinking about colour combinations myself as I am also going for a C63.

My current car is black and you're right, keeping it clean is a nightmare, especially as I live down a country lane which gets constantly churned up by tractors, however it is stunning when cleaned and polished, doesn't last for long though!

Anyway, I think whatever colour you choose, you'll soon forget about it when you start the engine:D

Further to my previous post, and taking into account your interest in Calcite White, Liverpool Mercedes have an absolutely stunning looking one in Calcite White with the carbon fibre pack which works brilliantly with this colour.

I have a C63 on order. Was interested in the white, but was concerned about resale value, and the missus was against it too (said white cars should only be used for weddings):dk:

Went for black with the black 19" wheels and PPP in the end:thumb:

I've detailed 2 black C63's now and the finish on them is excellent and probably suits the car the best, however any dark coloured car will make swirls more apparent in the light, if your careful with your wash procedure the defects inflicted can be minimised.

If you haven't the time or inclination to spend time washing the car with care, then a lighter colour will be more forgiving.

Personally to me white looks a little understated, how about silver or a compromise and go for a grey?

diamond white metallic?

I had the same dilemma when i bought my C63, wanted to go for White, but you just cant beat Black!! What interior you want to get? Mine has the black seats with cream inserts...............

I think red looks best personally! ;)

At the moment white has made a bit of a come back as a car colour, but you can bet in a few years time that it will be as unfashionable as it has been in the past. This will affect resale value as it has done with white cars in the past.
Depends on what you like and how long you're going to keep it.
Personally I like the red or the black.

I would choose white because I don't like colours.

All our cars have been white, colours look kind of brash, 'look at me I am a colour, I was chosen'.

PS I am not autistic.

They look great in White or Black, but if I was going to get one it would be in that darkish Grey colour I think.

if you dont want to stand out go for black white seems to get a lot more attention than black.

My favourite colours that I've seen C63s in are red and also the dark grey, which looks stunning when clean, and very understated.

Silver - stays looking clean longer plus will melt into the background when you don't want to be noticed. It's a stealth colour !

Black = Drugs dealer !

White = Look at me !

Silver = Mercedes = Silver = Class !

p.s. No offense intended to owners of Black & White cars :crazy:

Only joking just get what you want ! Lucky bugger :thumb:
