C63 Purchase - what colour?

I am having this very debate. I wouldn't ever have a white one since I don't live in a Gulf State. And black is (a) hard to clean and (b) a bit "default option".

I'm umming and ahhing between Tansanite Blue and Tenorite Grey personally. Palladium Silver suits the styling well but I'm just not sure I don't find it a bit of a non-colour.

Palladium silver with black leather or tenorite grey with alpaca leather;)

Thanks for the insights.

My Mrs said that she will never be seen dead in a white merc.

So White it is then....

Seriously though, I don't want the car to be a 'look at me' style car.

The main rationale for the c63 is being able to leave it parked up for periods of time without it standing out.

My initial idea was to buy an R8 or a 997Turbo but they just shout 'look at me'.

I think Black is the colour to opt for and youre right about Tenorite Grey - looks good.

Watch this space!!

LOL!! :D

Palmball's C63 looked great in white, but between black or white, I would go with black.

It really does look great after a detail!

P.S - Palmball, I can say these things now because you no longer have you C63 following your decision to buy a beetle.

lol! ;)

The red looks the utter Dogs, imagine that with the red calipers!!!

Don't get white, nice as it is, EVERY C63 made in teh last 6 months is white.

Ok, my turn!

....how about Tenorite Grey? I think this colour goes particularly well with the additional features of the PPP i.e. red brake calipers, carbon fibre bootlip, especially if you don't opt for the 19" wheels. The only problem I find with this colour though is what colour interior to match it with - I have been thinking about colour combinations myself as I am also going for a C63.

Thought I'd start with this one....normally, I dislike silver or grey cars. No offence to those with silver or grey, it's just everyone seems to have it due to manfacturers having so many different shades of the same colour!

But....this dark grey really does suit the C63 and I have to agree with Biffo in that it makes the red calipers etc stand out. It also doesn't draw so much attention to the chrome trim (one of the things I liked about the white in particular) as these AMG's really should be able to be specified without chrome.

Interior colours are limited unless you're prepared to spend thousands on a bespoke Designo colour.

White is the new Black ---- and is gaining in popularity. No guarantee though come resale it will still be.

How true....my white C63 cost me £20 a month more than a black one would have done just because MB Finance set a lower guaranteed future value on the white one!

diamond white metallic?

My favourite....not sure if you can now get it on the C63 without spending big bucks but as a colour, if I could get it, this would be the one for me.

Don't bet on it not attracting attention regardless of colour....I got much more 'attention' in both my C63's than I get in my 997 Turbo - by some considerable margin. Quite odd really given the Porsche is supposedly a proper 'sports car' but the C63 attracted more attention and of a more positive nature too!

Oh Rash....you're wrong again. Just wrong, wrong, wrong ;)

And I can say that because....I'm right!

My vote - Diamond White (if available and affordable)

Has to be either Calcite White or dimond white for me, with pan roof and PPP! Sorted. ;)

Edit; or if you can why not Designo Mystic blue?

Isn't white coming to the end of it's 'the colour of the moment' time? It's been around a while and seems to me to be just a fad just like matt black was. Personally i'd go for something like a dark green or blue if you wan the stealth element.

Sir, that is devine - just needs some tyre shine and you are on the money.

Mine is Tenorite with Carbon bits, it does make the red calipers stand out and matches nicely with the grey of the wheels. The trouble is there are too few colours on offer, OK there is Designo but that adds 12 weeks delay!

But with grey you lose some detailing like the darker headlights.

I would love one in my car's colour or tansinite blue, but whatever colour you get be ready for people like me that's going drool over it and stare lovingly at it.

Yes IMO, I don't think it's going to be long.

I love the C63 in grey. Makes the front grille stand out.

I would choose white because I don't like colours.

All our cars have been white, colours look kind of brash, 'look at me I am a colour, I was chosen'.

PS I am not autistic.

Just colour blind. :D:D

Mine is Iridium silver but tanzanite blue (my C55 was this colour) would look fantastic..
