C63 Rear Tyres - What would you do?

265s will fit no problem and give more wheel protection also...yokohamas worked well on mine .

My C63 really struggles for traction even at 3/4 throttle openings in 2nd gear on a sunny, dry day! It does have Eurocharged map but saying that also has a Quaife fitted too so should help a fair bit. It's becoming very frustrating as the power isn't usable at all unless I turn off traction control....

Cars running conti 5's (5P) which I think is the OE tyres fitted from factory? Fronts need replaced soon and was going to go with conti 5's but if PSS have been better for 63 owners might give them a try in OE tyre sizes...

that's worrying, i'm considering a quaife to get rid of this problem! i'm currently running fresh pss though.

I think it's the torque thats the main issue. I think on a very hot day with some heat in the tyres it would grip better. Also come to think of it, most high perf rwd cars would spin up in 2nd gear. All a compromise really, high torque = worse traction...

I'd Defo get a quaife fitted. Not sure how any C63 could be driven hard without one

Driving a c63 with a std diff and the RA550 kit from rebellion is interesting.. 535hp ish and conti5 tyres..

I pulled out onto the duo and accelerated to cruising speed and found the back kicking out in 2nd and 3rd in the dry..

The Quaife is ordered now and on its way to me though..

Be very interested in what tyres people are running too though as it won't be long till I'll have to replace the rear tyres.. 8500miles on them now!! Haha

So I'm going with the MPSS 255s on rears. Ordered off oponeo.co.uk for £161 per tyre inc del.

I currently Have Conti 5's on my C63 and not much left on the rears.

I had Michelin Pilot sport 3's on my 330d (different motor i know) and where perfect.
Will be changing to MPSS due to all the good recommendations on here cheers guys.

Also would you say 265's are the way to go on the rears instead of the standard 255's?
I like the idea of extra tyre protection as the Girlfriend drives it from time to time

I replaced my Conti with Yoko Advan MO in December, std 19 in rims and recommended tyre size. Grip and wear has been excellent ... And low road noise ... Will fit all round when due to replace. 5 star. Oh, and £360 balanced n fitted for the pair.

Went up to 265 30 19 Michelin Pilot Super Sport on rear and they transformed my C63 - no more dire lack of rear end Grip - also went up to 245 on the front and no more understeer in the wet - makes a HUGE difference!!! Also got 2 for £360 from F1 plus £50 cash back - happy days!

Is there a downside to putting on 265 instead of 255?

You have probably already changed them but for the Benefit of Others in the UK I used ASDA Tyres....Google it they seem to be the cheapest I could find!

What are they like when the roads are a bit damp/greasy or properly wet?

For grip they are ok, but let go without warning..
