C63 seat...

sorry to drag up and old thread!
But...

Did anybody get a definitive fix for this?
How much was the repair?

I have just bought a 2009 and neither of the seats bolster/lumbar adjustments work. So, I thought I would ask before I investigated.

Thanks

no luck so far.

Reviving. Any joy on this? Same problem for me. And does anyone have a definitive list of all the fuses related to the controls? I've changed the ones listed in the fuse diagram but they were fine and didn't make a difference? Very annoying!!!

Hi, yes, I found and repaired it myself.
There was a snagged wire in the seat which had worn through and shorted out.
I put the drivers seat fully forward, then tilted it fully back. There wire was visible through the gap between the rear upright and the seat base next to the center console. I could just see the wire. Wrapped in the black cloth tape.
Basically stripped it, re soldered and taped up. Never had a problem since. Hope this helps.

Thanks a lot mate will have a look. Funnily enough I had an E46 M3 before the C63 with the exact same problem, sold it without getting it sorted only to have the same problem with the Merc, must be some sort of Karma haha

Does anyone know which are the likely fuses and is there also a relay which may be the culprit?

5 amp fuse number 56 in boot on 13 plate c63.

Owned my C63 for over 2 years and the seat buttons have never worked until just now when I checked the fuse in the boot!

Just wonder how long they last...

Hope they work now. Use sparingly...!!
