C63 (W204) and C240 (W202) - just not at the same time!
Hi folks,

Wondering if anyone as had a C63 B3 service done - well the B3 comes from what ASSYST+ is saying the dash. The car is now 4 years old and it would be the 2nd B Service so don't understand the B3 designation.

MB ESS says this is a standard B service, plus 2 year additional work (brake fluid change), plus 4 Year/45k mile additional work (change the sparks) and usual oil+filter+cabin filter.

Has anyone got any experience of cost of this type of service or any additional advice?

Just wanting to learn from others experiences.

Thanks,
Kamal

Sorry just had the 3 yr service but would be interested to know what th cost and scope of this one is as it will be my next one.

Hi Chris, scope is pretty much as I describe plus a whole bunch of check this that and the other. I thought before I start getting prices I'd check with folks here so I know what to expect. Will share what I do in the end.

Thanks,
Kamal
PS. Did you decide which tyres? I did a bit of searching and Michelin PSS seems to be top.

Hi Kamal, i would try dealers a litle further out, loads are not listed on that scheme, im sure they all will at some point.

Hi Kamal, got a set of Conti 5Ps put on today, v happy :)

Just as an update, decided to keep it with a MBSH, and had the sevice done at MB Brooklands with Luxury car team. The service is simply the best and the price was discounted to be reasonable in my opinion. I arrived, car went in, had a wander round and worked from the nice little office environments they have set up. Car was done paid the bill and left, got a survey and they get 10/10.

I'm glad Steve looked after you.

<£595 for B Service including extra work due every 2 years and extra work due every 4 years, with service better than I've experienced at any other dealership to date by me :-)

Kamal, what's the "luxury" team at Brooklands? Have to do the LSD oil change and hesitating where to go - MB Chelsea are closest, but seem to be crap from all I've heard. Brooklands sounds like an obvious candidate (they run a lot of AMGs at the track, so should not need an explanation as to why you should do an LSD oil change, and why the plug should be replaced with a new one...)

Thanks you!

Michele

MB now give you pricing self service...

The dealers list in this won't be moving much on what this quotes.

Kamal

YOWCH that's damn expensive the quote coming out of there.

Just checked my dealers and the "B" service has gone up £80 this year....£80 for a B-Class "B" Service - it's now well over 300 quid vs £259 last year. Holy cow! Might be time to start negotiating with them as that's just obscene unless it includes the dust filter and the fuel filter!!

That now makes the wifes B class about twice the maintenance price of my A4 at the dealer for cars both over 3 yrs old. And I can't imagine that the B class parts cost any more or actually take any longer to work on.

OUCH.

D.
