C63 vs C63S

hi everyone.

Looking to order a new c63 soon (most probably coupe but won’t rule out a saloon if the deal is right). And got a couple of questions;

Are all new c63 now 9 speed ?

What’s the main differences between the c63 and the S model ? (I know the S has the race mode but what else has the model got to offer)

What are other extras are a must on an amg ?

great choice. I don't think you can go wrong with either. the 63 comes with an EDiff now but didn't in the pre facelift
the 9 speed should be better than the 7 speed on the pre facelift. the 7 speed is pretty darn good as it is.

the s has slightly better trim + alloys as std , possibly bigger brakes, a bit more torque and HP and an OTT 9 stage traction control system from the AMG gtr. a c class vehicle brochure would give you all the differences between them
I always say , get a wood trim , 360 camera, night pack, performance exhaust and HUD display . the premium pack with moonroof and burmeister is good too but the cost starts to get out of hand !

Performance exhaust is standard on the Coupe.
Both variants will put a big grin on your face every time.

I also had carbon trim in the back of my mind , the thing is, it was around a gbp700 option on the pre facelift and I don't think looks as classy as the wood. perhaps it gives it a sporty edge but the wood was around gbp200ish and I'm surprised it was that cheap given how lovely it looks . The above isn't on an AMG. on the AMG, you get a nice AMG logo. looks smart.

I wouldn't have specced the carbon but the car I bought had it and although £700 is a lot it does make the cabin look so much better.

Mine is now 18 months old and not a scratch on it, I prefer the darker carbon.

Hate the look of the wood trim inside. I have the piano black finish, it's the best looking alternative to the carbon in my opinion but I'm always wary of scratching it. Each to their own I suppose.

I like the idea of having the 'S' on the back of the car more so than any of the options that come with it. It wasn't really justifiable as I never track the car and specifically didn't want the performance seats. Also when I looked the 19/20" wheels were £1800 only on the S yet cost £2500 on the standard C63.
