Can some kind soul give me a précis of why the C63 is good/bad, whatever?

I'm confused by the in jokes. Sorry.

Apparently... C63 is like Blackberry... once you have one, you're hooked... not that I would know, I have neither.

It's like a muscle car without the denim and large breasted women.

Think David Hasselhoff.

People that don't have one seem to have a hang up about not having one. :D

Do the right thing....get a C63. You can't beat 'em (really...you can't!)....so join 'em :thumb:

I'm halfway there. I've got 4 cylinders in my car. Saving up for another 4. :D

In answer to Palmball's last.

Nope. Dont have one. Love to hear them that have 'em rattle on about them. I like Colin dinna ken what all the "anti" is about. I think it is all in jest.

Ill love my 124's and mention them often. Same diff with the C63s and other types methinks.

So, how is it better than the CLK63 or the CLS63 etc? :D

Well, in a handful of ways actually.

Firstly, I believe it was the first AMG to be specifically developed as an AMG (not just a normal Mercedes with different engine and stiffer suspension).... i.e. they had input into the design of the W204 and the C63 has AMG-specific set up including different track widths. I have never driven either of the other two but I would guess the C63, with it's more modern and torsionally rigid chassis is probably the handiest of them in the twisties.

Then, theres the thing I do have experience of...the seats. These items should not be underestimated as they're quite simply the most fantastic seats I have ever experienced. Extremely supportive and faultlessly comfortable after numerous hours driving. Better than the ones I tried in the E63 for support and the ones in the CLK / CLS are no comparison. Dynamic seats would be better for the larger person as admittedly, the C63 seats are probably only suitable for those of medium build or under!

Finally, no other AMG save for the SLS sounds like a C63. Not quite sure how they do it (but the shorter exhaust probably has something to do with it) but the C63 is the rudest sounding of them all. And that is the ONLY reason you'll ever need!

i think the C63 is awesome its one of the greatest cars of recent times.. i was at benz world last year and one of the guys was telling me the CLK63 mugs most of the others on that tight track they have up there...im just saying :dk:

Damn! Counts me out then! :D Even my 211 seats are squeeze for my fat a**e! :D

Like someone once said, 'there ain't no replacement for displacement' and that engine in that car with that noise is what does it for me. I've not come across anything else like it.

It has less letters in it's badge therefore much lighter :D

That makes your CLK 500 heavier than all the above :D
